How to schedule Instagram reels on PC (and the Meta Business Suite limit)
Step by step to schedule reels from your computer in Meta Business Suite, why the option sometimes doesn't show and what to do when there are several accounts.
To schedule reels on PC, the free route is Meta Business Suite, at business.facebook.com: you create the reel, pick the date and time and it posts on its own. The Instagram website posts from the computer but doesn't schedule. And Meta Business Suite schedules one account at a time, which becomes a bottleneck with several.
Before you start: what the account needs
- A professional account (Creator or Business). Personal accounts can't schedule.
- Linked to a Facebook Page. That's how Instagram shows up inside Meta Business Suite. See how to link the account to a Page.
Step by step in Meta Business Suite
- Go to business.facebook.com with the Facebook account that manages the Page.
- Pick the Page linked to the Instagram account that will get the reel.
- Go to Create reel.
- Upload the video and write the caption.
- Choose where to post: the Instagram account (and the Facebook Page, if you want).
- Instead of publishing now, choose Schedule, set the date and time and confirm.
The scheduled reel shows in the planner, where you can change the time or cancel.
"Schedule option not showing": why it happens
- The account is personal. Switch to Creator or Business in Instagram's settings.
- The account isn't linked to the Page. Without the link, Instagram doesn't appear in Meta Business Suite.
- You're not an admin of the Page. Ask whoever manages it for access.
- The video didn't meet reel requirements. Format, length or size outside what's accepted makes the option disappear or fail. Vertical MP4 is the safest.
The limit: one account at a time
Meta Business Suite handles one or two accounts well. For people running several, three limits show up:
- Each schedule is for one account. The same reel on ten accounts is ten schedules.
- The same file everywhere. It posts exactly the video you upload, and the identical file on several accounts is the signal that makes several accounts go down at once.
- No view of the accounts together. Results stay account by account.
Scheduling reels on several accounts at once
A publishing dashboard connects accounts through Meta's official authorization and schedules to all of them from a single upload, with a different version of the video on each and spaced-out times. To plan days of content that way, see scheduling reels in bulk.
On DevX Viral you pick the videos, the accounts and the spacing, and the whole week is scheduled on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. You can also schedule them as trial reels. See multi-page posting. One account and one post a day are free.

Can you schedule reels on the Instagram website? The website posts from the computer but doesn't schedule. Use Meta Business Suite or a publishing tool.
